Monogramoflage + Halloween
It will be my very first Halloween party, and I have always wanted to go to a Spooky Gouls and Ghastly party.
I have decided to go as a mix between two characters; 1. Vampire 2. Ring master... strange mix? Good.
So I went shopping yesterday and went to Gallery Serpentine. A very very sexy store filled with every corset you can imagine, and not the tacky kind real corsets with steel boning. I had never tried on a real corset before so opted to try on the full corset first.
This is the first one I tried on (except in black silk):Femme Fatale Strapless $250
However I could not move at all, in terms of the under arm being restrictive. The feeling of a corset is like strangling your body but only looking good while doing it. How morbid.
I thought to myself that $250 was also a bit much to spend on a corset that I wouldn't get much wear out of.
I did then eye a skirt which was very vampire/ring master. Both these skirts where just amazing in real life, but yet again the price was off putting as this was definatley a one off wear.Ophelia Skirt $349
So I ended up with this very quirky underbust corset. It cinches in the waist SOOOO much. When I am all dressed up on sat, I will take pictures. I really want to wear this more than just on Halloween it is so cute, would look good with a plain singlet top.Underbust Corset $190
I am also going back into newtown to buy this cutie for $45, It's a mini glitter top hat perfect for my ring master side.I also bought vampire teeth for $7All I have left is the fish nets, elbow length gloves and i'm done :)
A bit of a funny picture for all you look at... who went as Karl Lagerfeld for Halloween??? just in case you can't tell it's misuere Roberto Cavalli. What a funny man! This is actually something for a bit of a giggle, my boyfriend is flying up from Melbourne and he decided he is going as the Crow. He sent me this clip from South Park which made me laugh...
